SCAN is a non-profit organization, and all donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law. Your contributions allow SCAN to promote media literacy, media justice, and community dialogue as an alternative to corporate media. SCAN also provides equipment and training through classroom education and workshops, hands on learning of television production, skilled professional support, program promotion and production facilitation as a community resource to help individuals and organizations create and distribute their programming.

Matching Gifts

Many employers will match your gift to SCAN, doubling the impact of your generosity. Please check to see if your employer will match your donation and submit the necessary paperwork to SCAN or to your HR office.

Workplace Giving/United Way
Do you work for an employer who runs a workplace giving or United Way campaign? If so, you can have choose to have an amount deducted from your paycheck each pay period and have it donated to SCAN. This way, just a small amount at a time can add up to a much larger donation. For example, if you're paid twice a month and have $10 deducted each pay period ($10 times 24 pay periods/year) that equals a $240 donation to SCAN.

To donate to SCAN through a workplace giving campaign, on your donation form, you should see an option to "write in" a charity of your choice. On this line, write in "Seattle Community Access Network (SCAN)." If our tax-identification number is asked for, it is 91-2001023, and our address is 1125 N. 98th St., Seattle, WA 98103.

SCAN writes grants to corporations, foundations, and services groups on a regular basis.
