SCAN, which airs on Comcast channel 77 and Broadstripe channel 23, will launch its new season on Feb. 1, 2010. The new season allows aspiring television producers to have their work seen by hundreds of thousands of viewers in King County, as well as letting SCAN make small adjustments in its schedule.

Among the new programs to SCAN this fall:

• Adventure Divas (Wednesdays, 6:30pm) – award-winning travel series covering Cuba, Iran, India, & New Zealand
• Alternate Focus (Mondays, 10pm) – offers media that balances existing coverage of the Middle East
• Amma Embracing (Saturdays, 8:30am) – internationally known spiritual leader and humanitarian
• George Atwood’s Music (Saturdays, 1:00pm) – returning after a hiatus, this is a weekly music show
• Good News (Sundays, 7am) – teaching the word of God
• Grace & Truth Ministries (Sundays, 11:30pm) – the Study of Hebrew & Greek customs, cultures, & languages in the Old & New Testament
• Living Culture (Tuesdays, 4:30pm) – showcases cuisine and agriculture in the Pacific Northwest
• Prayer, Pearls in Us (Sundays, 6am) – the original Christian movement teaching the Ten Commandments and the Sermon on the Mount
• RE:VU (Thursdays, 3:00pm) – reviews on a wide variety of subjects
• robZtv (Fridays, midnight) – video vignettes of the street photography school
• Safe Harbor TV (Thursdays, 12:30am) – experiments with video as art
• The Red White and America (Tuesdays, 10pm) – a news show from a humorous perspective
